FALL 2011 - CWA'S FIRST ANNUAL FOOD BANK DRIVE
The Cecebe Waterways Association’s Food Bank Drive is well underway with 3 drop-off locations in the Magnetawan area. CWA will also be collecting food items at the Trinity United Church’s Annual Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner at the Magnetawan Community Centre on Saturday October 8. Dinner is from 5 to 7 pm. This is a very affordable turkey dinner with all the trimmings - bring the whole family and one or more non perishable items for the Food Bank.
If you are closing up your cottage on Thanksgiving weekend and have left over non-perishable food items, Ken Mihan will pick them up on your dock on Saturday (Oct 8) at noon. To take advantage of this special service, please call Ken at 705-327-1138 by Thursday evening (Oct 6) or email him at any time (ken.mihan@bell.net).
The drop off locations are at Port Carmen Marina, Ahmic Lake Marina (closed on Thanksgiving day) and Magnetawan Bait and Tackle. Cash donations are welcome and appreciated as well.
